Summary report Artificial Intelligence / ChatGPT-Like: Perceptions and Use among Library and Information Professionals from Italy, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, and Mexico

The aim of conducting a study on generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), such as ChatGPT, was to identify international perceptions and use among library and information professionals from Italy, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, and Mexico. A questionnaire with 12 items was developed and distributed at conferences and by email at the convenience of researchers. The survey design was an answer to our concern of AI adoption or adaptation of AI applications by librarians and libraries to provide relevant information services to their users in different cultural contexts.   After two face to face meetings and other virtual ones the study methodology and instrument were designed with the participation of the research team. Members who were present and accepted to participate are: Co-Leaders Jesus Lau , Universidad Veracruzana, Education Doctoral Program Coordinator...
